Numerical control machine tool is short for digital control machine tool, is a kind of automatic machine tool equipped with program control system. The control system can logically process programs with control codes or other symbolic instructions and decode them so as to make machine tools operate and process parts.
Compared with ordinary machine tools, CNC machine tools have the following characteristics:
● High processing precision, with stable processing quality;
● Can carry out multi-coordinate linkage, can process the shape of complex parts;
● Machining parts change, generally only need to change the numerical control program, can save production preparation time;
● Machine itself of high precision, rigidity, can choose favorable processing amount, high productivity (generally 3~5 times of ordinary machine tools);
● High degree of machine automation, can reduce labor intensity;
● Higher requirements for the quality of operators and higher technical requirements for maintenance personnel.
Because CNC lathe processing is a work of high precision, and its processing procedure concentration and parts clamping times less, so the use of CNC cutting tools put forward higher requirements, in the selection of CNC machine tool processing, should consider the following aspects of the problem:
① The type, specification and precision grade of cnc cutting tools should be able to meet the requirements of CNC lathe processing.
② High precision. In order to meet the high precision and automatic tool changing requirements of NC lathe machining, the tool must have a high precision.
③ High reliability.
